Other Important Information
Tour Length: Around 4 hours all inclusive. Sunrise will be at 6:41 AM. Difficulty: Easy! Waking up early should be the most difficult part of the trip. Workshop Departure: We will meet at The Bend Tour Company at 5:30 AM on Saturday, March 1, 2020. After a brief introduction, we will provide transportation up the mountain to our first drone location. We will end up back at the same place around 09:00 AM. Guides: All our Photo Guides are expert published photographers are passionate about creating a tailored photographic experience with you. Cody has 5 years of drone experience dating back to the DJI Phantom 2. nnWeather Conditions: Although Bend is notorious for 300 day of sunshine a year there are days where the weather is less than optimal. In most cases we can reroute to another location with better weather outlook for the day. Note that we cannot offer refunds due to weather unless we cannot go out at all, but can definitely reschedule if your availability allows. Also keep in mind that inclement weather often results in some of the most dramatic and stunning photos! Just make sure you dress and prepare accordingly. nFood/Water: We do not provide food on our outings. All participants should bring food/water to hold them through during the tour. We will have a cooler where you can store food and drink. We can stop and pick up lunch on your own if you prefer as wellnnWhat to Wear: You should check the weather forecast prior to coming on the trip. Temperatures in the winter tend to range between 20-50 degrees, so I always encourage bringing layers. Please bring warm gloves that are also capable of steering a drone. While we will have some space in the warm car to fly your drone from, we will be spending significant time outside the vehicle to land and replace drone batteries. Restroom Facilities: Please use the restroom prior to departure as we will not have restroom access until around 8:00 AM on top of Mt. Bachelor. Group Size: 2 - 4 max nnCamera Gear: Our guides are familiar with DJI drones. Feel free to bring other brands but we will not be able to assist in flying or changing settings. We recommended drone Neutral Density filters to balance harsh sunrise light. Remember to do not forget extra batteries, memory cards, and cleaning supplies.
