Guide: Whitney Whitehouse is an outdoor lifestyle and pet photographer who grew up in Central Oregon. She is traveling full-time as a photographer with her best friend & favorite photo subject, Jasper. Together they are living on the road, adventuring together around the country creating content for multiple brands, generating income through paid partnerships on Instagram and living the best version of their lives they know how! Her pup Jasper is a 5 year old rescue mutt who was adopted by Whitney in 2015 from a rescue in Eastern Washington. Jasper quickly became an impressive model and Whitney's favorite subject to photograph. His Instagram account, @jazz.paws, currently has over 40k followers and a combination of stunning photos & creative captions keep a captivated audience of people and brands from around the world. All participants should bring food/water to hold them through during the tour.u00a0u00a0nnWeather Conditions: Although Bend is notorious for 300 day of sunshine a year there are days where the weather is less than optimal. In most cases we can reroute to another location with better weather outlook for the day. Note that we cannot offer refunds due to weather unless we cannot go out at all, but can definitely reschedule if your availability allows. Also keep in mind that inclement weather often results in some of the most dramatic and stunning photos! Just make sure you dress and prepare accordingly. nWhat to Wear: You should check the weather forecast prior to the workshop. Temperatures due tend to drop once the sun goes down, so I always encourage bringing layers. If it's going to be hot, wear light-colored clothing and a hat. If the temperatures are cold, bring some warm layers and long pants. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen. Bug replant comes in handy too! If it's very cold and or windy, don't forget a jacket, warm hat and some gloves. If rain is in the forecast, bring a rain jacket. We recommend wearing sturdy footwear due to the uneven terrain and we could do some very moderate hiking. In addition masks will be required for the duration of the workshop. Restroom Facilities: The Bend Tour Company has restrooms. nCell Phones: Bring your cell phone along! They are great for capturing candid images. nGroup Size: 2-6 max nnCamera Gear: While our guides are all expert photographers, we might not be experts with your specific camera model. In order to get the most out of the tour, you will need a camera that has the ability to control ISO, aperture and shutter speed independently, and know how to access those features on your camera. nnWhile our guides are all expert photographers, we might not be experts with your specific camera model. In order to get the most out of your tour, it is ideal to have a camera that has the ability to control ISO, aperture and shutter speed manually and know how to access those features on your camera. Wider angle lenses work best for pet photography so it is recommended that you bring something 16mm - 50mm for the field portion of this course. nIf you need to rent gear for your trip we encourage you to use BorrowLenses.com
