About Deschutes Brewery
In 1988, Gary Fish founded Deschutes Brewery as a small brewpub in downtown Bend, Oregon. By 1993 the brewery outgrew its location and built brewing facility
across the Deschutes River with the ability to brew in 50-barrel batches. This facility continually increases its capacity, adding a 150-barrel Huppmann brewhouse from Germany in 2003, and most recently installing ten 1,300-barrel fermentation tanks. With these tanks and a new bottling line, Deschutes has the capacity to produce more than 450,000 barrels annually.Deschutes Brewery believes in building community through creating and sharing handcrafted, world-class beer and food. A passion for experimentation and ingenuity, coupled with a tenacious drive to constantly improve, serve as our mission guideposts. As co-owners, we strive to create extraordinary experiences everyday in our brewpubs, at our events, or simply sipping one of our fine beers. Deschutes Brewery has become a Pacific Northwest landmark to craft beer fans from around the globe traveling to visit both brew pubs and the brewery’s tasting room.
